The City of Salina is soliciting bids to replace its municipal solid‑waste landfill scale house and entrance area. The work includes demolishing the existing scale house and truck scale, constructing a new two‑scale building, extensive site grading, drainage, pavement, utility upgrades, and related site furnishings such as fencing, gates, lighting, and landscaping. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder and must be substantially completed by 31 Dec 2026 with final completion by 3 May 2027. • Demolition of existing scale house, scales, pavement, and fence. • New construction of a scale house building, two truck scales, concrete pads, curbs, sidewalks, and parking lot. • Installation of water, sewer, storm‑drain, electrical, fiber conduit, generator, and associated utilities. • Site work: earthmoving, grading, drainage, erosion control, seeding, mulching, and installation of gates, bollards, signage, and lighting. • Required performance and payment bonds equal to 100 % of the contract price; liquidated damages apply for delays past substantial and final completion dates.
