Description
The Department of General Services is soliciting quotes for a Guaranteed Energy Savings Project to become as energy efficient as possible through installation of energy or water conservation measures, upgrades, and implementation of optimal operation and maintenance procedures. The project will be implemented on an energy performance contract basis, with a return on investment of less than 18 years, and will reduce real energy consumption. The successful offeror will guarantee energy and cost savings on an annual basis. Key aspects of the project include:
* Upgrading interior lighting to LED technology
* Replacing water-source heat pump systems with high-efficiency units
* Updating the building automation system
* Converting the condenser loop to variable volume pumping
* Replacing the roof or restoring it with insulation, seam repair, and applied coating
* Recovering heat from data center computer room air conditioning unit condensers into the heat pump condenser loop
