Description
Imperial County is seeking a qualified civil‑engineering firm to provide on‑call, as‑needed design, plan‑checking, and inspection services for a variety of public‑works projects. The work will be delivered through individual task orders, each covering specific deliverables such as grading and drainage plans, utility design, structural calculations, and related engineering reports. The contract is initially for one year with the option to renew up to four additional one‑year terms, and consultants must maintain appropriate licensing, insurance, and DIR registration.
• Provide third‑party plan‑checking and red‑line comments with rapid turnaround (5‑10 business days).
• Prepare full PS&E packages (plans, specifications, estimates, reports) for transportation, water, sewer, storm‑water, and related infrastructure projects.
• Deliver task‑order services on a fixed‑fee or hourly basis, adhering to Caltrans, ADA, and prevailing‑wage requirements.
• Offer optional support services such as grant writing, project management, and coordination with sub‑consultants (subject to County approval).
• Maintain insurance coverage, retain records for 3‑5 years, and comply with DBE and equal‑opportunity policies.
