U9 FGD/BATW ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE PROJECT

Muscatine Power and Water (MPW) is soliciting sealed bids for the engineering, design, supply, fabrication, delivery, erection, inspection, testing, and documentation of a 200,000‑gallon stainless‑steel storage tank to be installed at the Unit 9 Generation Station for FGD calcium sulfate and bottom‑ash service. The tank is a field‑fabricated, open‑top, 33‑ft diameter by 32‑ft high unit constructed to API Std 650, including spiral stairs, agitator supports, access platform, nozzles, manway, cleanout, anchor bolt chairs, and grounding lugs. One lot of external pipe support clips is also required. Bids must be submitted electronically via the Ion Wave platform by 3:00 PM CT on 9 September 2026; questions are due by 3:00 PM CT on 30 August 2026. The award will be announced at MPW’s Board Meeting on 25 August 2026. • Scope includes full engineering and design services. • Fabrication of a 317L stainless steel tank (UNS S31703). • Delivery, erection, and commissioning at MPW’s Unit 9 site. • Required documentation, testing, and certification per API 650. • Mandatory submission of references, payment schedule, and subcontractor list. • Bid opening will be broadcast via Microsoft Teams.
