Anacostia II WWPS Electrical Updates

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is soliciting sealed bids for the Anacostia II Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS) Electrical Updates project. The project involves replacing and upgrading the electrical system at the Anacostia II WWPS, including medium voltage transformers, switchgear, and associated electrical protection systems. The contractor will be responsible for performing the work described in the contract documents, including demolition, excavation, and installation of new equipment. The project requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, with a focus on water and wastewater facilities. The contractor must also demonstrate experience in performing electrical, structural, civil, and instrumentation and control replacements and modifications. • Replacement of multiple large, medium voltage transformers • Replacement of two switchgear line ups and IPA Enclosures • Replacement of the 13.8kV switchgear including associated electrical protection systems • Replacement of the 4.16kV switchgear including associated electrical protection systems • New backup battery system(s) • Associated ducts/underground feeders and associated cables • New electrical manholes • Providing HVAC in both the 13.8kV and 4.16 kV IPAs • Structures and foundations for 13.8kV and 4.16kV switchgear • Structures and foundations for all transformers • New paving • Stormwater Control Devices • Provision of temporary power • Any associated auxiliary equipment
