Description
The Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission is proposing two regulatory amendments: (1) removal of “Arctic Lamprey” from the fishery resource code list (20 AAC 05.210) and (2) authorization of beach seine use under a set‑gillnet permit in the Cook Inlet set‑gillnet fishery (20 AAC 05.220). Stakeholders may submit written comments or questions during the public comment period (Oct 13 – Nov 16 2026). No additional costs to private persons are anticipated, and the state expects no budget impact. The final rule will be adopted after the comment period unless the Commission decides otherwise.
