Description
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking qualified contractors to perform the 2027 Milling and Resurfacing Project on major roadways within the Orlando tourism corridor. The work encompasses traffic management, erosion control, demolition of existing pavement features, milling and resurfacing of asphalt, signage and pavement markings, and the installation of colored patterned pavement. Coordination with resort entrances is required to maintain at least one accessible entry/exit throughout construction. Bids must be submitted electronically via the PlanetBids platform, and a mandatory virtual pre‑bid meeting will be held.
• Locations: Bonnet Creek Parkway (Buena Vista Drive to Vista Blvd, including Backstage Lane & Overpass Road) and Hotel Plaza Blvd (E. Buena Vista Drive to SR 535).
• Scope: Traffic control, erosion & sedimentation control, demolition of existing pavers & concrete header curbs, milling depths 1.5″–5″, asphalt courses (SP Structural and Friction Course FC‑12.5), removal/replacement of crosswalks, installation of final colored asphalt patterned pavement.
• Coordination: Maintain at least one accessible resort entrance/exit at all times; implement appropriate traffic restrictions.
