Weed Abatement

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a contractor to provide weed abatement services for various parcels, open spaces, slopes, and roadsides within the city. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with an option to renew. The city is looking for a contractor who can provide high-quality services, meet the requirements outlined in the RFP, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Some key aspects of the job include: * Providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work * Complying with the California Air Resources Board's (CARB) ban on gas-powered Small Off-Road Engines (SORE) * Implementing proper dust control methods * Removing weeds, stubble, brush, dry grass, dry leaves, tumbleweeds, poison oak, sumac, rubbish, litter, or other flammable materials * Pruning trees to a height of 5 feet from the ground or 1/3 the tree's height, whichever is less * Completing the work between April 1 and June 1 of each calendar year * Providing a pricing proposal that includes a breakdown of costs and a maximum payment amount * Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements
