Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is soliciting bids for the provision of hay and straw for the Kentucky Horse Park. The contract requires the delivery of various types of hay and straw, including baled straw, baled hay - orchard grass / alfalfa, baled hay - timothy grass / alfalfa, baled hay - timothy grass / orchard grass, and baled hay - western straight alfalfa. The hay and straw must meet specific quality standards, and deliveries must be made to specific barns located on the premises within 7 days from the date of order. The vendor will be responsible for providing all labor and equipment necessary to unload delivery into the appropriate hay loft.
• The contract requires the delivery of 5 tons of baled straw, 20 tons of baled hay - orchard grass / alfalfa, 20 tons of baled hay - timothy grass / alfalfa, 80 tons of baled hay - timothy grass / orchard grass, and 4 tons of baled hay - western straight alfalfa.
• The hay and straw must be free from foreign matter, excessive seed heads, weeds, and dust and mold.
• The vendor must provide a weight ticket showing the final loaded weight for each delivery.
• Deliveries may be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm local time, excluding state holidays, and must be coordinated in advance with the receiving location to ensure availability of personnel for receiving.
