Design-Build Services for Detention Center Expansion

Richland County is seeking a qualified design-build team to deliver a new standalone multi-level, 275–325-bed housing unit to be built on the existing Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center property. The facility must support a variety of inmate populations and classifications, including male and female detainees, multiple security and custody levels, and individuals with mental-health or medical needs. The new housing unit must be fully integrated with the existing campus infrastructure, including operational workflows, security electronics, building systems, communications networks, and all applicable life-safety protocols used throughout the current Detention Center complex.
