CNC 5 Axis Gantry Mill

The U.S. Army is seeking a quote for the purchase and installation of one Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) 5 Axis Gantry Mill at the Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) in Chambersburg, PA. The mill must meet specific requirements, including a chip-conveyor with coolant management, simultaneous 5-axis operations, and a machining envelope of at least 169 inches length x 123 inches width x 50 inches. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and related design, fabrication, construction, installation, and testing services. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the Government, considering factors such as technical capability, past performance, and price. • The proposed mill must meet or exceed the requirements listed in the Purchase Description (PD). • The contractor must provide a detailed breakdown of the specifications of the proposed equipment. • The contractor must demonstrate a structured approach to preventive maintenance and repair of the 5 Axis CNC Gantry Mill. • The contractor must provide a testing plan and a training plan in accordance with the PD. • The contract is set-aside for small business concerns.
