Description
The National Park Service is soliciting bids to replace a defective 8' PIV valve. The scope of work includes complete replacement with a new 8-inch PIV valve, excavation, and backfill. The period of performance is from 02/02/2026 to 04/04/2026.
* The PIV valve is installed underground and connected to the main water supply, with a telescoping indicator used to control the water supply for the fire suppression system.
* An 8-inch barrel or valve body is required for this replacement.
* Excavation and backfill are required, and contractors shall coordinate utility surveys with the county and comply with all applicable utility-location and excavation requirements.
