DOWNTOWN MALL CROSSINGS

The City of Charlottesville is requesting bids for the Downtown Mall Crossings project, which involves the removal and replacement of brick and granite pavers, installation of a custom drop inlet, concrete pipe, concrete curb, and sidewalk. The project also includes the replacement of the drop inlet top on the NW corner of Main St and 2nd St NW. The contractor will be responsible for providing all supervision, equipment, labor, and materials necessary to complete the work. • The project is expected to start on March 2, 2026, and be substantially complete by May 29, 2026, with final completion by June 12, 2026. • The contractor will be required to submit all required insurance and bonds, as well as a construction schedule, personnel chart, and subcontractor list. • The city encourages the participation of small businesses, women-owned businesses, and minority-owned businesses in the project.
