Description
The Dexter Community Schools is seeking bids for the High School Additions project, which includes the construction of a new entrance, weight room, and CTE (Career and Technical Education) facilities. The project requires the demolition of existing structures and the construction of new buildings, including site work, concrete, masonry, structural steel, general trades, roofing, aluminum glass and glazing, drywall and acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, hard tile, painting, fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical and controls, electrical, earthwork, asphalt paving, and site concrete.
• The project requires bidders to submit separate sealed bid proposals for each work category.
• The bid documents, including plans and specifications, are available on the project bidding site.
• A virtual public bid opening will be held on April 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM eastern.
• An optional in-person site walk-thru will be held on March 31, 2026, and April 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM eastern.
• An optional virtual pre-bid meeting will be held on March 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM eastern.
The project requires the selected bidder to provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, covering up to the full amount of the contract sum. The bidder must also comply with the Granger Construction Safety & Health Program Manual and provide continuous coordination with the construction manager and other trade contract work.
