The Alabama Port Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to supply, test, deliver, and install a complete 480 V/277 V low‑voltage switchgear system for the McDuffie Coal Terminal Expansion (Building 43 East). The scope includes a 4000 A main vacuum breaker, eight 800 A distribution breakers, associated buswork, control panels, a SEL‑735 power‑quality meter, and all related instrumentation, testing, documentation, and a two‑year warranty. Bids must be submitted by 8 Oct 2026, with questions due by 1 Oct 2026. The contract will require a 5 % bid bond (capped at $10,000) and a performance bond equal to 100 % of the awarded value. Late delivery incurs a $250 per day liquidated‑damage charge.
