Description

The City of Clermont is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and replace the shade fabrics/canopies on four existing shade structures at the Splash Park located within Waterfront Park. The work includes complete removal, off-site disposal, and replacement of the shade fabric and any minor associated hardware as needed for proper installation on the existing structural frames. The contractor must provide a commercial-grade, UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or approved equal shade fabric with a minimum 10-year manufacturer’s warranty against UV degradation. The contractor must also provide any new clips, cables, and tensioning devices needed to properly secure the fabric to the existing frames. Some key points to consider include: • The contractor must coordinate work with City staff to minimize impact to park users. • The contractor must provide temporary barricades, signage, and safety measures as needed to secure the work area. • The contractor must maintain a clean work site and remove debris and waste daily. • The contractor must restore any disturbed landscaping, hardscape, or adjacent features damaged by construction activities to equal or better condition. • The contractor must provide all warranties, maintenance recommendations, and contact information for future service.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

Based on the scope of work, which includes the removal and replacement of shade fabrics/canopies on four existing shade structures, the estimated budget could be around $50,000 to $200,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the replacement of the shade fabrics/canopies will require labor, materials, and equipment, and that the contractor will need to coordinate with City staff and ensure minimal disruption to park users. The actual budget may vary depending on the complexity of the project, the materials used, and the labor costs. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of materials, labor costs, and the complexity of the installation.
