Description
The Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) is seeking information from industry and sources capable of and interested in supplying and installing one Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) 5-axis gantry mill in accordance with the associated purchase description. The purpose of providing this information is to conduct Market Research and identify interested sources capable of providing this item. Key features of the CNC 5-axis gantry mill include:

* Renishaw RMP60/RTS Part Probe and Tool Setter
* Two Chip-Conveyors with Coolant Management
* At Least One Set of Electronic and One Set of Paper Manuals
* Manual Control Hand Wheel
* Table Size Of 240 Inches Wide X 408 Inches Long
* T-Slotted Table Footprint Of No More Than 80 Feet Long X 26 Feet Wide
* Machining Envelop Of At Least 169 Inches Length X 123 Inches Width X 50 Inches High (Not Including Tooling And Fixturing)
* Accept Set Up Tools Up To 22 Inches Long
* Accept Fixtures and Risers up to 24 Inches
* Ballscrew Drive Systems
* 200,000 lb capacity machining table
* Spindle Speed Of at least 0-12,500 Rpm
* Spindle Power Of at least 80hp
* Spindle Torque of at least 750 ft.-lbs.
* Linear encoders on X, Y, and Z Axes
* Maximum tool diameter using all pockets, at least 4.9 inches
* Maximum tool weight of at least 44 lbs.
The contractor shall provide all parts, labor, and services for the design, fabrication, and installation of the gantry mill and associated equipment. The contractor shall also provide training of four (4) Depot personnel in the operation of the 5 Axis MCs and software and four (4) Depot personnel in the maintenance of the equipment supplied under this contract.
