Description
The State of Vermont is seeking a qualified vendor to supply one (1) fully built, NWCG Type 6 wildland fire engine that meets or exceeds the detailed specifications in Exhibit A. The contract will be a two‑year fixed‑price agreement with up to three one‑year renewal options, and includes mandatory inspections at design, build, paint, and final acceptance stages, a minimum one‑year warranty, and strict delivery timing (vehicle must be delivered on or before April 1 2027, preferably avoiding the Nov 15 – Mar 1 window). The vendor must provide all required documentation, certify compliance with Vermont’s climate‑change and domestic‑content policies, and support warranty service from a location nearest to 111 West St, Essex Junction, VT.
• Provide a complete Type 6 wildland fire engine, fully assembled and ready for use, FOB to the State’s receiving facility.
• Meet four scheduled inspections by the Department of Forest Parks & Recreation and obtain written approvals before each payment milestone (10 %/30 %/30 %/30 %).
• Submit a single searchable PDF (≤ 40 MB) via email or VT Buys by the April 1 2026 deadline, and comply with environmental, cybersecurity, and domestic‑content preferences.
