Fuze Procurement and Test Support

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is conducting market research for an industry analysis of capabilities to identify potential vendors capable of providing embedded fuze systems and test execution assistance to support static detonation testing. The vendor should be able to manufacture and deliver three embedded fuze assemblies, test execution support for two static detonation tests using live warheads and associated electronic safe and arm modules, and provide a rough order magnitude of cost. The vendor should also demonstrate their capability to meet the stated requirements, including the ability to deliver the fuze systems to McAlester Army Ammunition Plant no later than April 2027. Key requirements include: • The fuze system should be MLU-64B/B, MLU-65/B, or equivalent. • The fuze system should have a cable length of approximately 23 to 27 feet. • The fuze system should be certified by a Department of War test range safety office for ground testing of live warheads and certified for road transportation. • The contractor should provide all hardware required to perform remote detonation of the fuze. • The contractor should be able to meet the Government timeline to deliver the fuze systems.
