Description
The Belvidere Community Unit School District 100 is seeking bids for asbestos abatement services at the Wellness Center building. The project includes the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials, including floor tile, mastic, terrazzo, vermiculite, and exterior window glazing and caulk. The work must be completed within 14 days, and the contractor will have full control of the entire school during the abatement process. A mandatory pre-bid contractor site walk-through will be held on February 10th, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST.
• The contractor must have experience in asbestos abatement and must comply with all applicable regulations, including IDPH, IEPA, and OSHA rules.
• The contractor must provide a lump sum bid for the defined work scope.
• The contractor must submit a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount.
• The contractor must provide performance and payment bonds within 10 days of receiving notice of award.
• The contractor must guarantee all work performed under the contract to be done in a good and workmanlike manner.
