The Department of Public Safety is requesting bids for an FBI NDIS approved system for DNA casework. The system will help facilitate DPS Crime Laboratory operations. The contract term commences on the effective date stated in the signing document and expires one year from that effective date. Key specifications include: • The system must be FBI-approved for CODIS/NDIS use • The system must generate DNA profiles suitable for enrollment into CODIS/NDIS • The system must maintain compliance with FBI Quality Assurance Standards and CODIS laboratory accreditation requirements • The system must provide validated cartridges/chips and system software versions approved by NDIS for reference mouth swabs • The system must support DPS crime laboratory operations by ensuring compatibility with CODIS workflows, security requirements, and data integrity standards Some of the key features of the system include: • Sample reading in a minimum of 90 minutes • Consumable tracking through radio frequency identification (RFID) • Touchscreen display • Facial recognition and barcode camera • Fingerprint reader The bidder must provide a completed HUB Subcontracting Plan as part of its response and must comply with implementation of the plan.
