Description
The City of Detroit is seeking a vendor to perform emergency residential demolition services for a garage located at 3258 Glendale. The garage is a 2-story, 2-family, brick dwelling that is vacant and secure, but the rear garage is mostly collapsed and the remaining damaged framed walls are dangerously leaning. The vendor must make the garage safe by demolishing it, but the slab can be left. The awarded vendor must use backfill material from a Category 2 source approved on the City of Detroit Backfill platform.
• The garage is located along the rear alley ROW and is exposed to the elements, which will accelerate its total collapse.
• The vendor must meet emergency timelines regardless of if Frost Laws are in effect.
• The vendor must refer to the backfill platform for a current list of approved sources.
• The City of Detroit is looking for a vendor to perform this service as soon as possible, with a deadline for submission of 2026-07-22.
