Flight Training Program

Texas A&M University-Victoria is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional pilot school instruction for the university's Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science Program. The selected firm will provide flight and ground training for the Professional Pilot track at the Victoria Regional Airport and on the university campus in Victoria. The contract term is anticipated to be one to two months, with the possibility of extension. The university is looking for a firm with experience in providing flight training services, a strong safety record, and the ability to maintain Part 141 certification. • The firm must hold 14 CFR Part 141 pilot school status or provisional status on or before the start of the contract period. • The firm must submit approved 14 CFR Part 141 flight and ground training syllabi to the university. • The firm must ensure that all ground school and flight instructors are FAA certificated ground and/or flight instructors holding appropriate category and class ratings for the instruction being given. • The firm must work in collaboration with the university and serve as a resource for proposed changes to the overall aviation science curriculum.
