Sources Sought for Douglas DC-3 Initial and Recurrent Pilot Training

The FAA is conducting a market survey (Sources Sought) to identify qualified providers capable of delivering initial and recurrent pilot qualification training for the Douglas DC‑3 aircraft. The effort includes ground‑school instruction, flight‑simulation (Level C/D) and/or actual aircraft training, with strict crew‑concept and hour‑limit requirements. Vendors must submit a capability statement outlining their training experience, aircraft/simulator assets, SAM UEI, and business credentials. The survey is informational only; no proposals or pricing will be evaluated at this stage. • Training scope covers both initial qualification and recurrent training for FAA Flight Standards and Aircraft Certification pilots. • Contractors must hold FAA certification, provide all required facilities, simulators, aircraft, instructors, and related support services at no additional cost to the FAA. • Responses are due by 5:00 p.m. CT on November 13, 2026 and must be emailed to the listed contract specialist.
