The New York State Canal Corporation, a subsidiary of the New York Power Authority, invites qualified Design-Builders to submit a proposal for the Statewide Guard Gate and Waste Weir Rehabilitation project. The project involves designing, fabricating, delivering, installing, testing, and commissioning guard gates and waste weirs throughout the barge canal system. The Design-Builder will be responsible for completing site-specific designs with performance specifications and standardized design guidelines. • The project requires the Design-Builder to engineer and furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment (except for services, materials, and/or equipment to be furnished by others). • The Design-Builder will be responsible for fabricating, delivering, installing, testing, and commissioning of the guard gates and waste weirs. • The contract term is up to ten years. • Total MWBE participation goals are 30%, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal is 6%.
