Description
The Lynchburg City Schools (LCS) is seeking qualified architectural/engineering firms to provide full design services for comprehensive renovations of five elementary schools. The scope includes schematic through final design, construction documents, cost estimating, and phasing plans that allow construction to occur during school breaks. A Construction Manager will be selected by the 30% design phase, and future construction‑administration work may be awarded as separate task orders. The effort requires expertise in K‑12 renovation, building‑systems upgrades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, fire safety, access control), and experience with phased construction to minimize disruption.
• Five schools (Heritage, Sandusky, R.S. Payne, Perrymont, plus a new gym) each needing extensive interior and exterior upgrades.
• Services: architectural design, engineering design, specifications, cost estimates, phasing schedules, and coordination with LCS.
• Mandatory compliance with Virginia procurement rules, insurance, and nondiscrimination requirements.
• Pre‑proposal conference (optional) on 27 Aug 2026 at R.S. Payne Elementary; questions due 17 Sep 2026; proposals due 25 Sep 2026.
• Submission can be electronic or hard‑copy; proposals must be sealed and stamped.
