Description
The U.S. Army Garrison at Fort Bliss is seeking a contractor to provide solid waste management and recycling services for the base. The contractor will be responsible for providing all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform all solid waste management to include recycling service tasks and frequencies as described and defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The contract will be for a base year plus four one-year option periods, and a potential six-month extension. The contractor will be required to maintain the free flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic while picking up and servicing waste collection containers and shall ensure the containers are placed in locations that do not impede traffic. The contractor will also be required to respond to customer comments and remedy any issues within 72 hours of notification.
Some key tasks and frequencies for the contractor include:
* Scheduled solid waste collection and diversion/disposal, and maintenance services
* Special Event Support
* As Ordered / Requested Task
* Collection of recyclable materials
* Maintenance of collection containers and equipment
* Inspection and maintenance of the Mission Installation Collection Areas (MICAs) and storage yard
* Submission of monthly rebate checks for the sale of collected and processed recyclables
* Maintenance of accurate records and reports
