Description
The City of Los Angeles is seeking bids for an emergency slope repair project at Vista Del Mar near Fontainbleau Street. The project involves constructing a pipe and board structure to repair an erosion gully and restore lateral support to Vista Del Mar. The work includes removing damaged paving and curb and gutter, replacing them with new AC paving and Type C integral curb and gutter, and constructing a 4-foot tall chain link fence along the top of the pipe and board structure. The contractor must have immediate availability of supplies, personnel, and equipment for mobilization within one business day of the Notice to Proceed.
• The project is considered emergency response work and is subject to applicable contract terms.
• The soil at the site is sandy and similar to beach sand.
• The contractor shall perform work on or from Vista Del Mar, minimizing additional lane closures.
• The City has complied with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act.
• A "Bid Bond" is not required, but the successful bidder shall provide two good and sufficient surety bonds.
• Only pre-qualified contractors on the Pre-Qualified List of Contractors can bid on this project as a Prime Contractor.
