Description
The Town of Westerly is seeking a qualified manufacturer or authorized distributor to supply, deliver, and commission a heavy‑duty, mobile, dual‑shaft, slow‑speed industrial shredder for municipal construction‑and‑demolition (C&D) waste. The equipment must process reinforced concrete, asphalt, brick, wood, and mixed debris at a minimum throughput of 40 t/hr (mixed) or 25 t/hr (concrete), be powered by a Tier 4 Final diesel engine of at least 250 HP, and include features such as hydraulic tipping hopper, magnetic separator, dust‑suppression system, PLC controls, and crawler tracks. The vendor must provide a minimum two‑year/2,000‑hour warranty, on‑site training (≥16 hrs), a 24‑hour service response, and maintain local spare‑parts inventory. Proposals are evaluated on technical merit (70 pts) and cost (30 pts); the award will go to the lowest‑priced technically acceptable bid.
