Description
The Yankee Canyon County Road A-25 Subsidence Mitigation Project is located approximately 9 miles northeast of Raton in Colfax County, New Mexico. The project involves mitigating subsidence features found in the travelled way of County Road A-25, which is an unpaved road with steep grades and switchbacks. The project area is undermined by the Turner-Urtado Mine and the Denton Mine, and the site is steeply sloped and rocky with dense stands of scrub-oak. The key work and scope-of-work for this project include:
