Description
The City of Pacific Grove is seeking a qualified consultant to develop objective design standards for residential and mixed‑use projects that align with state housing laws and preserve the city’s architectural character. The consultant will produce a full set of written standards, illustrative graphics, a draft ordinance, outreach materials, and support for multiple public hearings. The work must be completed between August 2026 and January 2027, with monthly invoicing and strict insurance and record‑retention requirements.
• Develop comprehensive design standards covering massing, materials, roof forms, site layout, landscaping, parking, utilities, and more.
• Prepare a draft ordinance/resolution for City Council adoption and create community outreach and public‑hearing support documents.
• Provide project management, staff qualifications, and required insurance; deliver four bound copies plus an electronic copy of the final package.
