15KV CIRCUIT BREAKER

The City of Farmington is requesting quotes for a 15KV Circuit Breaker to be delivered to the Electrical Warehouse at 101 N. Browning Parkway, Farmington, NM 87401. The circuit breaker should meet the performance requirements of and be designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with the latest applicable standards of ANSI, IEEE, and NEMA. The breaker should have a nominal voltage of 13.8 kV, a rated maximum voltage of 15.5 kV or greater, and a frequency of 60Hz. The breaker should also have a maximum symmetrical interrupting capacity of 25,000 A RMS and a 3-second, short-time-current carrying capacity of 25,000 A RMS. • The circuit breaker should be provided with magnetic actuated or spring storage operating mechanisms. • The breaker should be equipped with a non-interruptible closing sequence cycle. • The breaker should have a dead-tank design. • The breaker should meet the requirements for seismic, climate, and wind-blown dust. • The breaker should be painted ANSI-70 sky gray. • The breaker should have a nameplate with pertinent data, including the manufacturer's name, type and serial numbers, and rated maximum voltage. The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and to waive any irregularities. The successful vendor may not assign their rights and duties under the award without the written consent of the City's Central Purchasing Office.
