The District is seeking a qualified, licensed geotechnical engineering firm to provide Geotechnical Engineering of Record (GEOR) services during construction of two campus projects: the new Samohi Phase 4A Student Services Building (≈50,000 sf, $74.5 M) and upgrades to the Samohi PBL Language Building ($3.5 M). The consultant will coordinate with the Department of Statewide Archaeology (DSA), perform DSA‑certified special inspections, verify compaction and subgrade conditions, manage change orders, and deliver a final compliance report for close‑out. The work is governed by a 2017 Project Labor Agreement and prevailing‑wage requirements, and all field personnel must be union‑compliant. • Core services include DSA coordination, special‑inspection of foundations, shoring, earthwork, and pavement, plus field testing (density, percolation, etc.). • Deliverables: observation & test reports, DSA 291/293 forms, final Geotechnical Engineer’s Statement of Compliance (DSA 168), and any required revisions to design parameters. • Contract period runs from June 2026 (service start) through the close‑out of the Student Services Building (≈July 2028 + 60 days), roughly a two‑year engagement.
