The National Park Service is seeking interns to complete a Cultural Landscape Inventory (CLI) for the Ohanapecosh Campground at Mount Rainier National Park. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in landscape architecture or historic preservation. Housing will be provided, and interns must have their own transportation from housing to the work site. The internship will last for 480 hours, and the interns will work under the supervision of the park's historical landscape architect. The CLI is an inventory of all the cultural landscapes in which the NPS has legal interest, and it provides information about the site history, existing conditions, landscape characteristics, and associated features that contribute to the significance of the property.
• The internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students in academic programs in historic preservation and related disciplines.
• The interns will work alongside NPS staff in the cultural resources and interpretation fields.
• The internship will provide a stipend to the interns.
• The interns will have substantive assignments in their areas of study and will work closely with NPS staff day-to-day.
