South Street Sidewalk Construction from US 41/Cleveland Avenue to SR 739/Fowler Street Rebid (FDOT 438101-2-58-01)

The City of Fort Myers is seeking bids for the construction of a 6" thick, 5' wide, 3,000' long sidewalk on the north side of South Street from US 41 (Cleveland Ave) to SR 739 (Fowler Street). The project includes maintenance of traffic, clearing and grubbing, removal of existing concrete, and installation of detectable warnings, pipe handrail, and thermoplastic pavement markings. The contractor must meet mandatory minimum qualifications, including being licensed to do business in Florida and having been in business for at least three consecutive years. • The project is part of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program, aimed at making it safer for children to walk and bicycle to school. • The contractor will be required to maintain the minimum qualifications during the term of the contract. • The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or technicalities in the bids received.
