Description
The Federal Prison Industries/UNICOR is seeking to procure 10,000 yards of fabric that meets specific requirements, including being made of nylon, plain weave, and having a weight of 2.8-3.8 ounces per square yard. The fabric must also meet certain strength and color requirements. The successful offeror will be required to provide a certificate of conformance, shade test result, and lab test result for each shipment of material.
Key requirements include:
• The fabric must be made of nylon and have a plain weave.
• The weight of the fabric must be 2.8-3.8 ounces per square yard.
• The fabric must meet certain strength requirements, including a tear strength of at least 9.0 pounds in the warp direction and 7.0 pounds in the fill direction.
• The fabric must be tan in color.
• The usable cutable width of the fabric must be 59/60 inches.
• A certificate of conformance, shade test result, and lab test result must be provided for each shipment of material.
