STARCOM Azimuth Flight Service

The United States Space Force (USSF) is seeking sources for a unique summer space education and training program for military cadets, known as the Azimuth program. The program requires parabolic flight services to simulate microgravity environments for cadets. The selected vendor will provide flights originating from and ending at the Colorado Springs airport (KCOS), Colorado Springs, CO. The program aims to inspire cadets to become officers of character to lead the Space Force and prepare future Guardians to prevail in competition and conflict. Some key aspects of the program include: • Providing parabolic flight services to simulate microgravity environments • Operating flights from the Colorado Springs airport (KCOS), Colorado Springs, CO • Meeting the requirements outlined in the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) • Having experience with micro-gravity operations and specialized aircraft • Ensuring adherence to FAA safety standards and implementing safety measures and emergency protocols • Providing documentation of FAA certification and compliance with FAR Part 121 for parabolic flights The USSF is interested in flexible, scalable, and novel operational concepts with the potential to help USSF expand access to reduced-gravity environments and accelerate space technology readiness.
