Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East (RPOE), Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Siemens Medical Solutions for emergency services for the Siemens MRI machine at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. The system is currently out of service and requires helium replenishment to prevent magnet quenching. The contractor will complete the following tasks: report to the designated POC to schedule delivery of parts and service for the repair within 72 hours of award, evaluate, repair, and certify the device, and provide a detailed service report.
• The contract will be for a one-time firm fixed price.
• The period of performance will be thirty days from award.
• The contractor shall provide a record detailing the work performed.
• The contractor shall notify Biomedical Engineering and the Police service when they arrive on site.
• The contractor shall provide equipment downtime and detailed descriptions of the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance procedures performed.
