Structural Steel

Jefferson County is seeking qualified vendors to provide an indefinite‑quantity “Requirements” contract for structural steel products and related fabrication services. The contract will cover the supply, fabrication, coating, and delivery of a broad catalogue of steel items—including angle iron, I‑beams, channels, hot‑rolled plate, sheet metal, reinforcing rods, and custom fabricated components—on an as‑needed basis for County road and bridge projects. All materials must meet the latest NYS DOT specifications and the NYS Steel Construction Manual, and vendors must be able to respond to emergency procurement calls within 12‑24 hours. The initial performance period runs May 1 2026 through April 30 2028, with up to three one‑year extensions at the County’s discretion. Bids must be firm for 45 days, and price adjustments may be requested with 30‑day notice based on CPI. • Supply and fabricate a full range of structural steel items (angles, I‑beams, channels, plates, mesh, tubing, reinforcement, etc.). • Provide NYS DOT‑compliant painting/coating and any required fabrication (drilling, coping, stiffeners, custom cuts). • Deliver to Jefferson County Highway Department, Watertown, NY, with capability for 24‑hour emergency response.
