Purchase of TSI Air Samplers and Airborne Particle Counters for Environmental Monitoring of APF sections

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center (CC) is seeking to purchase TSI Air Samplers and Airborne Particle Counters for environmental monitoring of all Pharmacy Department Aseptic Processing Facilities (APF) sections. The equipment will replace existing particle counter units and provide a critical function in the processing of patient intravenous medications for ongoing clinical research studies. The scope of work includes the purchase and maintenance of the TSI Air Samplers and Particle Counters units. • The equipment is essential for continuous operation and maintenance to avoid interruption of pharmacy services and delays in completion of clinical patient study pharmaceutical drugs. • The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. • The NIH Clinical Center Pharmacy Department provides drug distribution services, investigational drug management, and clinical programs. • The purchase is intended for the I-IVAU, E-IVAU, and P-IVAU sections of the Pharmacy Department.
