Chenango County IDA Building Renovation and Conversion

The project is being undertaken to extensively renovate and convert the ground level of the existing building into an early learning center. Varoius areas of the second level - Commerce Chenango Office – will be renovated to create new office space and a board room. The entire facility will received updated access control systems and HVAC systems. The building was extensively renovated in the 1990s for the previous owner (business). Hazardous material testing has been completed. A small area of hazardous containing material exists in the northwest corner of the first floor. This space is scheduled to be abated and is included in the contract. General contract work includes new interior space fitout: partition walls, ceilings, finishes, flooring, casegoods, doors/entrances/glazing; new electrical, data and HVAC. The building is to remain open at all times. The contractor must provide dust control where/when necessary. The contractor must stage work as to not interfere with day-to-day operation on the second floor. Due to the municipal structure of the IDA.
