California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking qualified vendors to supply turnout coats, turnout pants, and optional suspenders that meet the agency’s Structural Firefighting Protective Ensemble (SFPE) specifications for use at the Fresno‑Kings Unit Headquarters. The contract will be awarded on an all‑or‑none, lowest‑price basis to a vendor that can meet strict UL/NFPA testing, approved manufacturer lists, and certification requirements. Bidders must submit a single total price, complete all required state forms, and be prepared to provide a prototype for fit verification before production orders.
• Supply of UL‑tested, NFPA 1971‑compliant turnout coats and pants (approved manufacturers Lion and Morning Pride only).
• Mandatory certifications: CAL FIRE‑720, STD‑204 Payee Data Record, seller’s permit, DVBE/SB if applicable, and other DGS PD‑451 forms.
• Single total price required on the Cost Quote Sheet; pricing must remain valid for at least 60 days.
• Prototype must be submitted to CAL FIRE Safety Program for fit/fit‑function approval prior to any bulk order.
• Deadline for questions April 15 2026; final bid due April 21 2026 via email to the procurement analyst.
