Description
The County of Portage, Wisconsin is seeking bids for road material crushing at the Highway Department pit located at 7153 Old HWY 18, Custer, Wisconsin. The contractor will be responsible for crushing approximately 15,000 tons of reclaimed asphalt and blending it to 3/4 inch dense-graded base gravel. The work must be completed on or before 10/30/2026.
• The contractor must provide a calibrated motion (belt) scale to weigh and calculate daily tonnage of crushed materials.
• The contractor must perform gradation testing during aggregate production of crushed material.
• The contractor must maintain worker's compensation insurance and commercial liability insurance.
• The contractor must provide a Certificate of Insurance and maintain the minimum limits specified for the term of the contract.
