The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is conducting a market assessment to identify potential sources and companies that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience with Air Force Safe-to-Fly (StF) Boot program. The program aims to expand the listing of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Boots that the Air Force can purchase to provide newer and a greater variety of boots to USAF Aircrew personnel.
* The boots must meet specific requirements, including dimensions, boot height, color, construction methods, flame resistance, and water resistance.
* The boots must also meet specific temperature range requirements, including hot weather, temperate weather, intermediate cold/wet weather, and cold weather.
* Vendors are required to provide data and boot samples for review and testing.
* The Air Force will consider responses to determine the expanded listing for Air Force (AF) Safe-to-Fly registry.
