On-Call Traffic Signal Improvements Engineering

The City of Lawrence is seeking a highly qualified consultant or consultant team to provide on-call traffic signal improvements engineering services. The selected firm will enter into an on-call engineering services agreement with the City, which will have a 3-year initial term with two 1-year optional renewals. The scope of work includes traffic signal timing coordination, safety review, intersection timing analysis, and other related tasks. The City expects to spend between $100,000 and $200,000 annually on this contract. • The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive design, engineering, and implementation services for traffic signals. • The contractor will develop a long-term program for infrastructure and equipment improvements to improve traffic signal coordination. • The contractor will prepare a plan to evaluate signalized intersections every 4 years. • The contractor will provide engineering services for signal design using the City's signal design standards. • The contractor will perform a review of traffic impact studies that may have significant impacts to the City's transportation system.
