Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide preventative maintenance and repair services for Kaeser air compressor equipment at the West Haven VA Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the equipment is operating properly. The contractor must have a field service representative located within 200 miles of the West Haven campus and have been trained by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) on the specific model of equipment. The contract will have a base year with four one-year option periods.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and testing to maintain compliance with VHA Directives and ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE standards
• Scheduling and coordinating work with the VA COR, Utilities Supervisor, and Chief, Maintenance & Operations
• Maintaining sufficient stock of parts needed for repair and maintenance
• Providing written service reports and submitting them to the COR within five business days
• Complying with VA Security Management Program and obtaining permission from the VA Police before performing services
