The US Navy is seeking a contractor to repair a Switching Unit, Power. The contractor must meet the operational and functional requirements as represented by the Cage Code(s) and reference number(s) listed in the contract. The repair work shall be performed in accordance with the contractor's repair/overhaul standard practices, manuals, and directives. The contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements, and the Government reserves the right to perform any inspections deemed necessary. The contract includes requirements for preservation, packaging, packing, and marking of the repaired items. Key points to consider: • The contractor must provide a quote that includes the unit price, total price, and repair turnaround time (RTAT). • The RTAT is 80 days, and the contractor must meet this requirement to avoid price reductions. • The contract includes a provision for an option quantity, which may be exercised by the Government. • The contractor must comply with the requirements for mercury-free materials and provide documentation to support any changes to the design, material, or part number. • The contract includes a provision for testing and evaluation of repaired items, and the contractor must provide a T&E fee/price if an item is determined to be beyond repair.
