The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs invites proposals to design and implement the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Professional Fellowship. The program aims to develop a network of emerging leaders from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states who share America’s founding principles of liberty, opportunity, and self-reliance. The fellowship will provide approximately 220 participants from Southeast Asia with five to six weeks of professional and leadership development in the United States, focusing on four strategic themes: Economic Prosperity, Strategic Energy and Minerals, Liberty and Freedom, and Peace and Security. The program will also include a YSEALI Professional Fellowship Forum in Washington, D.C. and reciprocal exchanges with American professionals. Key aspects of the program include:
* Professional fellowships and reciprocal exchanges to advance U.S. leadership and strengthen commercial ties
* Leadership and professional development curriculum to strengthen participants' skills
* Virtual program launch and pre-departure orientations to prepare participants for the program
* Fellowship placements with U.S. public, private, and nonprofit institutions to provide hands-on experience
* A program-wide conference to share insights and engage with U.S. officials and experts.
