The University of Minnesota is seeking a construction manager at risk for the St. Paul Campus Center project. The project involves the construction of a 94,792 GSF newly built facility on the site of the existing Magrath Library. The selected respondent will provide construction manager services, including cost estimating and value engineering services, and will work with the architect/engineer of record to establish a final scope of work and guaranteed maximum price. The project is expected to be substantially complete by March 30, 2029. The university has established a construction budget of $109,700,000. • The project includes student-centered functions such as social spaces, study spaces, library functions, retail dining, and meeting and events space. • The project requires the selected respondent to obtain a separate payment and performance bond for tax-exempt materials purchased through the purchasing agent agreement. • The university reserves the right to shortlist respondents for further evaluation and interviews. • The selected respondent will be required to submit monthly documentation to the university and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights to substantiate compliance with proposed targeted business and workforce utilization commitments.
