Submarine Rescue Operations Maintenance Contractor (SROMC)

The U.S. Navy is seeking a contractor to provide operation and maintenance support for the Submarine Rescue System (SRS). The SRS is a portable and mobile system capable of transferring personnel from a distressed submarine under pressure from depths up to 2,000 feet seawater. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining all systems in a constant high state of readiness, providing personnel and services for engineering, management, technical, and logistic support, and performing mobilization, deployment, operation, storage, and repair of the SRS on a 24-hour-per-day, 7-day-a-week basis. The contract is expected to include one base year with four option years, for a total of 60 months if all options are exercised. Key aspects of the job include: • Maintaining the Pressurized Rescue Module System (PRMS), the Submarine Decompression System (SDS), the Assessment/Underwater Work System (AUWS), and other critical ancillary support equipment • Providing engineering, management, technical, and logistic support • Performing mobilization, deployment, operation, storage, and repair of the SRS • Ensuring the SRS is in a constant high state of readiness
